Thomas to Speak at 23rd ARCASIA Forum in India

Thomas Cheung, candidate for President of the Hong Kong Institute of Architects (HKIA), will participate in the 23rd ARCASIA Forum, taking place from 8–12 September 2026 across India’s Golden Triangle cities of Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur.

The forum is a major regional gathering of architects from member institutes across Asia. Under the theme “Bringing Back… Vernacular Wisdom” the conference will explore traditional spatial practices and vernacular knowledge to address urbanization and environmental challenges, and to create sustainable, human-centric built environments.

Thomas will feature as a panel speaker in the session “Vernacular as a System, Not a Style” on 11 September in Jaipur.

Thomas’ participation underscores his longstanding engagement with ARCASIA and his commitment to strengthening the voice and international presence of Hong Kong architects.
